IT networks and Wi-Fi for warehouses

Scanners, mobile terminals, offices and loading bays depend on connectivity where work takes place. ARETEK plans and deploys wired and Wi-Fi infrastructure for warehouses in Île-de-France, and assesses larger projects elsewhere in France.

Start with logistics workflows

A warehouse is not designed like an office. Racking, stock levels, ceiling height and operator movements affect radio coverage and cable routes. We identify working areas and the devices actually used.

  • Fibre links between zones and distribution racks
  • Cabling for fixed workstations, cameras and access points
  • Managed switches, PoE and VLAN segmentation
  • Connection tests in the agreed operational areas

Plan coverage, mobility and maintenance

Access-point placement considers aisles, loading bays and picking areas. Mobility requirements are assessed with the relevant terminals. Labelling racks, devices and links supports fault finding and future changes.

Prepare your warehouse project

Send the location, plans, floor area, height, racking layout and terminal numbers. Include outdoor areas and operating hours. These details help define the technical survey, test scope and a suitable quotation.

Your questions

Can you extend an existing warehouse network?

We inspect existing racks, links and configuration before proposing an extension, considering equipment that can be reused and the site's operational constraints.

Can coverage be guaranteed without a survey?

Coverage depends on the building, stock and terminals. Objectives and tests are defined after assessing the site; there is no standard access-point count for a given floor area.
